Depression they say is not just sadness. Sadness unfortunately is part of our life. Losing someone we love, facing difficult situations and just struggling. When in depression it is said that you just annot see a silver lining in your situation, you just see that black cloud. You are told to have faith, assert your will and positie thinking in the midst of lonliness and monsters. Concentration is toil and labor, you cannot think your self out of this condition. What I think I have learned through study, is depression is an un-welcome companion, people are victims of this illness. Oh how vulnerable human beings are. You know it is often hard to know when a person is suffering like this, they are often veiled in silence, and there is nothing physical for the outsider to see. The heart is hidden in a case. I do not have the answer but I do want to listen to people instead of being judgmental; I want to show compassion to those who suffer with this disease. To the sufferer----how precious are those who genuinely care. It is like a cool breeze. We are all pilgrims upon this earth and we must learn to show love as well as receive love. Until God deigns to reveal all to us----all human wisdom is contained in these two words--wait and hope. You just gotta have something to hope for. I want there to be help for all who suffer with depression--will that make it be? I just want you to live inside that hope, not admire it from a distance, but get in it--under its roof. To have hope even when you havent the stomach or strength for it--just hold it like crumbs in your hands. When that dark cloud sits with you, with its thick air and you think, how can I keep taking this, take that hope (Gods hope) like you would a childs face in your hands, as close as you can get and say, Ill take you and hold on. That is all I would know to do because without it I know I would have no chance. Maybe there is a crack somewhere in that depressed state and the light, the hope will get in----I Hope. JUJU
