Dept. of Fantasy Ooh, another Rivendell bike sighting this morning, crossing the Manhattan Bridge on the way to work. (I forgot to ask Mr. Owner what hes doing up so early on a Sunday. Oh! Going for a bike ride, right.) Lovely blue A. Homer Hilsen. Grant Petersen, a baseball fan, originally wanted to call this model the Honus Wagner, but the Wagner estate stonewalled on the licensing fee. And, heres a Riv video for the bike from a few weeks ago, the Hunqapillar. Single track is not so easy! One trick: tires big enough so you can ride them a little soft. Andrew Mosner, if this does not cause you to pine for the East Bay, nothing would. It made me pine for the East Bay, and I only ever went on one bike ride there (which the memory of is still a thrill).
