Deputies Search for Suspects in Home Invasion and Shooting Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives are searching for four (4) suspects, wanted in connection with a late night home invasion that has left one man seriously injured by gunfire. 35-year old John Willie McKoy of the 400 block of St. George Drive, Fayetteville was transported via ambulance to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he underwent surgery. Investigators were called to McKoy’s home shortly before midnight on Thursday, January 15, 2015 after the suspects kicked in the front door and fired several shots into the residence. The suspects fled the scene in a dark in color Dodge Charger shortly after shooting McKoy. The vehicle was later found abandoned by a Hope Mills Police Officer along the 3500 block of Carlos Avenue in Fayetteville. Detectives are searching for 24-year old Jermaine Hailey of 300 Rolling Pines Court, Raeford who is the owner of the getaway vehicle. Hailey is described as a black male, five feet four inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes with numerous tattoos along both arms. Anyone who knows of Hailey’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 323-1500 or dial 911 for immediate assistance. You are urged not to approach Hailey as he is considered armed and dangerous.
