Derek Teichert! Friday, November 8th. 6:30-8:30 pm. Bring Your Own Beer and Wine. Derek Teichert was born in Corvallis, Oregon and grew up on Cape Cod, MA. Plagued by an anxiety disorder and panic attacks, he picked up the guitar at the age of 18 as a form of therapy. He began writing songs and playing for a group of devoted friends at local bars on the Cape. Without any previous formal instruction he applied to Berklee College of Music where he later graduated with a degree in songwriting in 2011. He is now playing live along the east coast and just finished his first EP, When All Is Said And Done in August 2013.
