Derry praised as UKs first WorldHost city The Londonderry Chamber of Commerce has praised local businesses and their staff in their commitment to customer satisfaction and their achievement in becoming the UKs first ever WorldHost city. This is a fantastic accolade, for Derry to be the UKs first ever WorldHost city, said Chamber chief executive Sinead McLaughlin. Our city had more than 3,700 employees undergoing training to ensure that customers receive the highest quality customer satisfaction. Much of this was put in place to ensure that the City of Culture events would be accompanied by a first class visitor experience. Our businesses and their staff rose to the needs of customers brilliantly. But much more than this, achieving the title of WorldHost city means that we remain in the best possible position to service visitors well as, hopefully, Derry remains a tourism hot spot this year and into the future.
