Desert Fox at Talchapar, Rajasthan on 03-12-2014. ======================================== Tal Chapar is unique in a sense that, it measures only 4sq miles full of Grasslands, but has amazing birds & animal counts. While returning after the morning safari at Talchapar, we decided to roam around the peripheral of that grassland. Just when we took a turn towards the peripheral side running parallel to Salt Pans, we got an intuition about some extra ordinary Sightings. We had thought about some Raptors, but then this Desert Fox was on prowl for Indian Desert Jird, his favorite snack. It was tapping the ground, looking for the vibrations & was toiling around 4 to 5 meters of land to bring out the Jird, but just as was about to make a kill, the Jird succeeded in dodging the Desert Fox. ======================================== Canon 7D + Canon600 mm , f/4 IS II USM, Aperture Priority Mode, Shutter Speed 1/1000s, f/7.10, ISO 160, Evaluative metering Mode, EV Bias -2/3, AI Servo.
