Desert Island Disc #3 - Achtung Baby by U2. This album took the band in a 180 after the earnestness of The Joshua Tree and the misguided, Hubris-laden Rattle and Hum. The band was falling apart, unable to agree on a new direction. The boys decided to grab acoustic guitars and just play it out. The result was One, the best song the band has ever written IMO. The album was darker, more personal, and less about The World Hurting as it was about the hurt we tend to place upon each other.
