Desertion and other legal issues aside, the media treatment of the recent behaviors of Bob Bergdahl, father of POW Bowe Bergdahl, made me sick. It played right into the notion that patriotism supersedes all other aspects of life, including fatherhood. Being a dad is a pretty special job, but with it comes a very heavy price. No matter what kids do, there is nothing you wont do to try and protect them in this life. killingernest/what-would-your-father-do/
