Desfile de faroles del 14 de setiembre (víspera de la Independencia). Todos los niños de Costa Rica desfilan portando su farol, ya sea hecho en casa, o comprado. A las 7:00 pm se escucha o canta el Himno Nacional. ¡Me encanta esta tradición de paz y libertad! Traditional lantern parade of Sept. 14 (the eve of Independence Day). The Independence torch is sent by runners all the way from Guatemala, arriving at most Costa Rican towns at about 6:00 pm. Alongside, all children parade showing their lantern by candlelight—either handmade, or store-bought. At 7:00 pm the entire country hears/sings the National Anthem. I love this tradition of peace and freedom!
