Design Tip for Today: June 9, 2013. Wyland Interior Design Center has plenty of experience creating commercial spaces as well. Take a look at Opportunity Auto Body Shop located in Spokane Valley, WA. The inspiration and design theme for this space was taken from the wallpaper border that runs along the top soffit above the reception desk. Wood tambour stained in a dark mahogany tone was installed to the front of the reception desk adds a rich flavor to the space. The bases of the columns were faux painted to resemble the granite slab countertops. A custom area rug and custom upholstered chairs were both designed by interior designer Connie Wyland. Notice the scalloped cloud pillows on each chair and the Art Deco motif in the corner of the rug; these are design elements that are repeated throughout the space.
