Desiree Rogers, in your capacity as CEO of Johnson Publishing Company, we understand your first fiduciary duty is the viability and financial health of this historic and iconic media giant. We understand that. Its a business. But please, we implore you, if you must raise operating capital by selling the photo Archives, we implore you to make a stipulation that the photo archives will be entered into the public domain, housed for everyone to view and use and research, give them to a Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, in Harlem, or to the August Wilson Center in Pittsburgh, the DuSable in Chicago or the Charles Wright in Detroit. We understand these are difficult times for your company, but please think of the legacy you have been entrusted with and think of the value of those Archives into perpetuity and not just as a journal entry on your CEO annual report.
