Desiring God More Than His Blessings Todays Scripture Hebrew 13:5-6 Let your lives be without love of money, and be content with the things you have. For He has said: “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Todays Word How many of us can actually say, I am not jealous of anyone else or envious of what others have. If God gave it to them, then I want them to enjoy it? The Word says, Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. I believe God tests us to see if we will live by this verse. There are times when He may put somebody in front of you who has exactly what you want, just to see how you will respond. Until you can pass His I am happy for you because you are blessed test, you are never going to have any more than what you have right now. If you have asked God for something and He hasnt given it to you yet, rest assured that He is not holding out on you. He simply wants to make sure that you rid yourself of jealousy and make Him your top priority. God wants us to prosper in every way. He wants people to see His goodness and how well He takes care of us. But we must desire God more than we desire His blessings. Todays Prayer God, I want You to show me the areas of my life where Ive given in to jealousy and covetousness, and help me rearrange my priorities. I want to desire You more than Your blessings.
