Desk Clerk Division : Mercy Housing Management Group (MHM) Location : Sacramento CA US 95811 Property : Boulevard Court Job Type : Full Time Career Level : Experienced (Non-Manager) Education : High School or equivalent Category : Administrative/Clerical Job Description : The Desk Clerk must perform a number of varied responsibilities, including monitoring the traffic in and out of the building, providing security to the property, and communicating appropriately and adequately with the proper authorities as needed. 1. Keep accurate log of all visitors to the complex by recording the name of the visitor(s). 2. Convey accurate information to the appropriate authorities as necessary. 3. Answer telephones and take accurate messages. 4. Conduct patrols of the entire complex according to a schedule outlined by the Property Manager and other appropriate supervisory staff. 5. Respond to emergency situations by calling the appropriate emergency service (e.g. police, fire department, ambulance, paramedics). 6. Enforce the appropriate building policies and house rules. 7. Keep the lobby areas clean and neat. 8. Inform the Property Manager of any unusual activity in a timely manner. 9. Enforce the No Loitering policy of the complex. 10. Attend staff meetings on request. 11. Perform other related duties that may be requested by the Property Manager. Job Requirements : Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: General office experience preferred Abilities: Answer telephone and greet residents and guests clearly. Ensure that doors and gates are closed and locked. Ability to treat a variety of people with respect and compassion. Maintain confidentiality. Decide when an incident is an emergency and take appropriate action.
