Despicable. Video evidence of Hamas use of young children as human shields placed immediately adjacent to a mortar being fired on Israeli civiliians to attempt to protect their munitions and terrorist guerillas from return fire. What is even more morally reprehensible is that the lack of return fire here to neutralize the mortar to protect their own citizens resulted in the deaths of 2 Israeli children. By doing so, it merely reinforces to the terrorists the effectiveness of their strategy- guaranteed to result in more widespread use and more loss of life on the Israelis part. The death of innocents in war is heart wrenching. - but it is the moral duty of a military to protect the lives of their *own* citizens - not the lives of cowardly enemy combatants, or of those unfortunate innocents intentionally placed in harms way and sent to slaughter by them to facilitate their own murderous actions.
