Despite a wet week likely next week, especially Sunday-Tuesday, earlier model estimates of huge rain numbers have come down in recent runs. That is due to a rain-deflecting high pressure system which will keep any rains south of here until at least Sunday. Sunday-Tuesday could see around an inch, possibly locally higher, but earlier fears of several inches have trended further south into downstate southern Illinois and Indiana where as 3-5 could occur. Monday looks to be rather mild and humid as we briefly get into the warm sector. While a few thunderstorms are possible, there doesnt appear to be enough support for any appreciable severe threat at this time.
