Despite being a minority in my friend group, I feel like people often dismiss my opinions on racial issues or assume that race doesnt matter to me because Im white. Isnt white a color too? Im just as appalled at history as most, and the racism that persists today, but I wish the fault was tied to individuals rather than to white males. Why does being white make me racist? Its not my fault that society hasnt put me at a disadvantage, but that doesnt mean that I want others to be treated unfairly.
