Despite my recent failure as a cook in regards to the maple syrup incident, I have gathered the courage to ask permission of my neighbors to tap their rather large maples. I came home today to find one of the buckets apparently trounced by vandals. On further inspection I found over 3 1/2 gallons of sap that was too much of a burden for my makeshift support. I think I may have bit off more than I can chew and will have to purchase more buckets to enable storage until I have a free day for reduction. All in all, Im glad I have neighbors that can help soften the blow of a bad situation. Thanks, 406 Elm.
