Despite ones best efforts to achieve a daily variety of thought experiences and physical adventures, much of life, unfortunately, is repetitive... (Maybe the humdrum is the true punishment for that serpent caper and his gift of the shiny apple...) From time to time, however, there is a fusion of mental joy and surging physical thrill which lifts even a dull, olive strewn life among the sunflowers and lavender fields of Provence into the heady realms of wonderment. Today is such a day... In my early morning digest reading of Europes newspapers, I came across a photograph of the President of the United States meeting the Socialist Leader of the British Labour Party - Barack Obama and Ed Miliband - in a room in Washington D.C.: a sort of craven dithering meets imbecile bacon sandwich... Above the photograph is the caption: Miliband gets his few minutes with President Obama. Below the photograph there are these magnificently poetic words: Ed hands over gift of British political dramas DVD in a carrier bag... Milibands taste and class are so unfailingly consistent...
