Despite the drastic drop from $140/barrel to $48/barrel; Nigeria - TopicsExpress

Despite the drastic drop from $140/barrel to $48/barrel; Nigeria deemed it fit to reduce just N10 to make it N87. Well, its commendable albeit non-useful. This is a move that ought to have been done months ago. All those series of surprises wont change the mind of the ordinary Musa, Adewale and Emeke on the streets regarding the forth coming election. While we commend them for reducing just N10 despite the drastic drop in oil price worldwide; Nigerians are still yearning and craving for CHANGE. Little wonder why the PPPRA allowed the Minister of Petroleum to do their job for them even though the agency is under her Ministry. The government should have explained to us the mathematics that paved the way for the conclusion that culminated into reducing N10; which brings oil price in Nigeria to N87 from the previous N97. Analysts and commentators are saying the price should have been ideally reduced to N50. This is the time where DPR is needed in order to help enforce this change. Even while petrol was previously selling at N97, there places that sells above N100. In fact, not long ago, I bought fuel at the rate of N105. Although Abuja is trying as virtually most of the stations sells at the designated N97. Whether they did the reduction for the masses interest albeit I doubt; or for their political interests, we the ordinary masses are still saying we need CHANGE! Come February 14th, we shall line up to vote massively for change. I dont want a repeat of January 1st 2012 where fuel sky-rocketed to an astonishing price. This one that Oga Jonah is reducing fuel price, let him not win so that by February 20th, he will further increase it to N150.
