Despite the fact that the sales tax initiative did not pass, yesterday was a great day! Got an email from some K-State architectural students wanting to work with Kinsley in designing a downtown streetscape and got notice that we finally won the $200,000 Safe Routes to School Grant! All around a great day. I am not discouraged by this turn of events but energized and more determined than ever to implement these programs to revitalize our downtown. I WILL find the money somewhere to do it. I have managed to bring in over $1 million dollars in the last 6 years to this County and will continue to work to make this community grow! Kudos to everyone who showed up to vote, over 60% voter turnout!
