Despite what anyone thinks about 11Bs, this is actually kind of funny. (Ahem, and I may or may not have asked for that MOS when I first enlisted. They said no. Then I asked if I could be in the field artillery. They said no. Cavalry? No. (This had exhausted my knowledge of military organization and structure, thanks to reenacting.) I then watched some MOS videos with disinterest, pissed off about the discrimination. Randomly picked mechanic because my brothers liked fixing stuff. I went to basic training fuming about the injustice, and then laughed at the irony of being assigned to an infantry regiment there. And laughed again when I received orders to an Air Defense Artillery battalion in the 1st Cavalry Division. In your face, SGT Greer (recruiter)
