Despite whats going on in #Washington these days, Im ever optimistic. Call it naïve but I prefer optimism. #Democrat or #Republican, this deep rooted divide is not something we should be proud of. I say we because its not just our politicians, it is prevalent in very strong worded daily conversations. Its that person thats insulted, just because she has an opinion. Its that opinion we shove down each others throats, instead of agreeing that we want the same outcome, we just disagree on how to get there. I may be young physically but what happened to the days where Democrats and Republicans were in it with a common goal but different approaches. There are times when the #liberal approach has worked, and times when it has failed and times when the #conservative approach has failed, and when it has worked. The point is we work #together to get there. This is my optimistically naïve rant of the night, in the hopes that the Divided States can be the United States. The current climate strongly discourages many from life in Public Service. Its time we restored the faith that our #government can function, even when we disagree.
