Destination reached! A normal two hour trip turned into 3 hours due to 30 minute delay at Walmart on Central Expwy picking up my misting fan....AND another 30 minute loss due to road construction with 2 lanes shut down to one east of Rockwall. But thank the Good Lord I arrived safely! Regardless of the sour notes of the trip, I just had the best ole time driving up here this pm. Elvis kept me company on Sirius radio, preventing road rage! At one point I found myself singing at the type of my lungs along with him. You see, I know every word to every Elvis song because Ive listened to all of them at least one million times. 🎼Tutti Frutti, Oh Rutti....Tutti Frutti, Oh Rutti...Tutti Fruitti, Oh Rutti... Ah Wop Bop, Ah Loo Bop, Ah Wop Bam Boom!! I so enjoy saying that phrase. I like the way it just rolls off the tongue. 🎼🎼. 🎼Thats All Right Now Mama.....look at the Girl with Red Dress on....She can do the Dog All Night.....Now Shake that Thing, Now Baby Shake that Thing, Makes me Feel so Good Now! Baby Shake that Thing!🎼🎼 Elvis and I were just a jammin. Then we toned it down a bit with my all time favorite of his, 🎼How Great Thou Are!🎼🎼 My mind got to wandering like it does when Im driving and traveling alone. Before I knew it, a lightbulb went off in my brain as Im driving up I30, and after traffic unloaded at Greenville. (Not bad traffic on to Mt Vernon) Thinking about the farm........Honey, I just had the most brilliant idea! I want you to take get the John Deere mower out and remove the housing & mowing apparatus. It doesnt work anymore & you said its too costly to have it repaired. Well, the mower is 10 years old, but still looks brand new. Only a few scratches and is still pretty green and yellow since it has been stored all those years in the storeroom when not in use. Then that will be my four-wheeler, and I can drive it around the place. I can hook the little trailer on, and take Piper and Porter for rides. (Another chore for you, Jimmy Lu)! 😉😉 All of a sudden I realized I was talking out loud like hubby was there with me in the car. Is this another sign of OLD AGE?? Well, now Im kicked back in my favorite comfy chair, resting and relaxing waiting for the Hubs and Venus to arrive. Enjoy your evening and I may have something else to report later on!
