Destiny & God; the confusion thereof: Sometimes I wonder whether there is one God for some, another for others? Is the success or lack of success of our life here on earth predetermined or by our endeavors? If we live by destiny, what is the effect of prayer in a predetermined life? I mean, is there any point in trying hard or praying to God to change something that is ones destiny? Just ponder over this; someone I know is in a life threatening situation; her grandmother died at 41, her mum died at 41... both of them died from Cancer. She is 39 and has just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has had some surgeries already but the doctors say they cannot cure her. She will go for 6 months chemotherapy and will have less than a year to live after that. Now, where is the place of prayer in the life of this woman? In spite of modern technology and scientific breakthroughs in medicine, 161,823 died from cancer in the UK in 2012 alone. How come? Back to my topic, can God or prayer change the course of destiny or is destiny a myth? Happy Sunday, friends!
