Destroyers, Ever wondered why your charming, intelligent friend puts up with bad behaviour from her partner? Have you found yourself asking the question Why does she put up with him? Writer Kasey Edwards thinks it might have something to do with what we teach girls about the importance of being in a relationship. Some women are trapped in toxic relationships (which is a separate issue entirely), but other women stay in them because they believe that a bad relationship — or even an okay one — is better than being single. This can encourage women to stay in relationships when they probably shouldnt and tolerate or excuse behaviours that they definitely shouldnt.
