Detailed report of Amarnath attack now coming in ! Annual Pilgrimage of amaranth shrine, taken by Hindu Devotees in the month of Shraavan , is at the receiving end of sabotage attempts by Jihadi Muslims since Jammu and Kashmir is a Muslim Majority state ( Since Hindus of this area were persecuted , raped looted , and killed and driven out 2/3 decades ago ) Langar camp at Baltal attacked by spreading false rumors of death of a muslim horseman (kaccharwala ) . Police and CPRF had to resort to firing in air and tear gas shells . CM Omar Abdullas actions are highly suspect as he tries to trivalise ths issue. Pseudo secular media keeps mum cries of Plaestine Terrorists . So called right wing Modi government in centre keeps mum. Regular attendies of pilgrimage state that they don’t feel secure in this yatra the local make them feel as if they are not in their own country but in enemy terretory. Reporters of this state are also known to be terrorist sympathizers. Atrocities on Army is a regular issue in JnK Result of violence 8 food stalls (bhandare) were completely burned , 20 – 22 damaged , stone pelting and rampage occurred exposing government and security agency failure . Last year CPRF camp was attacked a and a big part was burnt , before that year a bhandara at Sheshnag was ransacked this is the third consecutive attempt to sabotage this auspicious yatra. This time attack was at most protected place ie the Baltal base camp. After the first attack , second attack occurred when high officials were present and assesing the damage, CM OF JK Omar Abdullaha PASSED IT OFF AS A MINOR SCUFFLE. The upcoming state election is also being seen as a reason for attack on hindus as the separatist and muslim population of state need to be satisfied . One must remember that Hindus take this yatra in the most extreme of circumstances ,in 2008, the Government of India and the state government of Jammu and Kashmir reached an agreement to transfer a measly 100 acres (0.40 km2) of forest land to the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board to set up temporary shelters and facilities for Hindu pilgrims. Kashmiri separatists opposed the move citing reasons that it will jeopardize the article 370 that gives separate identity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prevents any Indian citizen to settle in Kashmir. People in Kashmir staged widespread protests against this decision by government of India. Due to the protests, the J&K State government relented and reversed the decision to transfer land. We must not forget that his pilgrimage always comes under threat by Islamists. This yatra thus continues to be very tough and many people are known to die of exhaustion and lack of facilities . In 2012 , 130 people died during the yatra. This most auspicious Hindu pilgrimage is under constant threat by the Jihadists. The pilgrimage was banned from 1991 to 1995 due to threats from militants. In 1996 the militants had assured that they would not interfere allowing a resumed yatra with far greater numbers than in previous years. Four years later,in 2000, the pilgrimage suffered another setback with the massacre in Pahalgam of 30 people by Kashmiri separatist militants. Most were yatris on their way to Amarnath or porters and horsemen who would have ferried the pilgrims to the site.
