Details for The Intimidator Extreme 13.1: We are getting ready to open online registration for the Intimidator Extreme 13.1 coming on July 18th, 2015. All of those that have already paid will still need to go through this registration online process and enter all your personal information so we can have it all on file. I will be emailing you the code that will allow you to completely register online for no additional charge at all. I have most of everyones emails that has already paid, and I will send an email to you shortly with that code. If your email has changed or you are unsure you have supplied me with your correct email, please send me a note at Jonny@RockOnAdventures. There has been a little change on the qualifying aspect of this event. Due to so many of you wanting to race this event and not being able to get to ROAR to qualify, is making it very difficult on you, I have decided to install a Checkpoint just after the swim section. In order for you to make this Checkpoint without timing out, you will need to be able to swim 1/2 mile in 33 minutes. If you cannot swim a 1/2 mile in this allotted time, please do not register until you have trained and CAN do this swim obstacle. For those that time out at this first Checkpoint just after the swim, you will be officially DQd. Safety is my #1 concern. I wonder if there is 250 confident enough Athletes that think they have the Mettle for the Medal? Following are the details that will also be written on the online registration. Please read the entire description before signing up! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Extreme Intimidator 13.1 is not for the weak or timid. There will be no refunds or transfers for this event. Please do not sign up unless you are absolutely sure you can attend. This half marathon length course will be slam full of challenges and obstacles (175 minimum) that will consist of swimming, swinging, climbing, crawling, carrying, pulling, dragging... just to name a few. The entire field will be limited to only 250 of the toughest athletes. Everyone will leave the starting line together and race across an open field to allow everyone to get properly seeded before all the challenges get thrown at them. There will be 12 water stops through out course, so personal hydration is suggested but not mandatory. The ablity to swim 1/2 mile AND climb a 3/4 rope with no knots 15 off the ground is mandatory due to safety concerns. These tough obstacles will be monitored. This event will have three checkpoints throughout the 13.1 miles that will be set up to make sure you are averaging at least 19 minute miles. If you come to a check point showing a slower pace, you will be officially DQd and escorted back to the start, due to safety reasons. You must officially finish the entire 13.1 miles to get a finisher medal. Your entry fee does not buy your medal.... your official finish earns the medal. Shirts will be given to all entrants. Awards to the overall Male and Female will be HUGE! Normal sized awards will be given in the normal 10 year age groups. Since it is hard for most to attend swim qualifying at ROAR before event day, I have decided to have a check point just after the swim. If you cannot swim 1/2 of a mile in 33 minutes, you most likely will not go any farther than the 1/2 mile swim before you will be escorted back to the start. This 1/2 swim is very near the beginning of the event. This event is specifically designed to be really tough. It was not designed for the masses, as there is plenty of those. It is time central Florida has a race where only a certain percentage of the Elite 250 runners will finish this race. Just think of keeping a 19 minute pace all the while you are doing 175 obstacles/challenges AND you must also swim! Not an easy feat for any person... even an Elite Competitor! July 18th, 2015. Do you have the Mettle to earn your Medal?? There will be no refunds or transfers for this event. Please make sure you are absolutely sure you can attend before registering. Thank You! Rock On!
