Hridoy Er Pran Mohona..(Last Song) To celebrate New Year 2015, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre organised a Musical Evening by Bangladeshi exponent, Mr. Habib Wahid at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Dhanmondi, Dhaka at 5:30 PM on January 9, 2015. Born in Dhaka, Habib, son of legendary Bangla pop singer, Ferdous Wahid, was initiated to music at an early stage by his father. Subsequently, Habib travelled to the UK to pursue Music and Audio Engineering courses at the School of Audio Engineering in London. Habib released his first album, “Krishno” – a unique mix of folk and modern electronic music-- that was an instant hit both in Britain and Bangladesh. Mr. Habib has extensively toured worldwide for musical performances at prominent platforms since 2005. He has performed in countries such as U.S.A., UK, Sweden, Australia, Canada, U.A.E, Qatar, etc, all of which have been deeply appreciated by the global audience. Habib recently released a solo album in December 2012 that was a huge commercial success. Besides winning several laurels for his musical compositions, Habib won the National Film Award for Best Music Composer in 2011. Mr. Habib released five other music albums -- Maya (2004), Moina Go...(2005), Shono! (2006), Panjabiwala (2007), Balchi Tomake (2008) and Aboseshe (2008)—all of which gained immense popularity both in Bangladesh and abroad. Habib’s song “Din Gelo” is especially cherished by most music lovers across the world. *****
