Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Traffic - TopicsExpress

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Section are continuing to investigate an incident leading up to an employee with Republic Services falling from a moving commercial truck and striking his head. This morning (Friday), at just after 11:00 a.m., deputies responded to the 1200 block of Ribbon Road after receiving initial reports of an injured worker. The male subject, identified as Terry Wayne Stewart, 54, (no listed address), sustained a serious head injury and was airlifted to UF Health (Jacksonville). He is listed as being in critical condition. As the investigation continues, detectives are working to determine the factors that caused the incident. Updates will be released as they are received.
