Deut 28;15-44. In deut 28: 1-14 reading we saw the blessings that are available to the obedient child of God. Now the picture is one horror, the curses that face those who disobey Gods word. Note that the Israelites were to obey all the commands to avoid these woes. The history of israel shows that God meant everything He said in this passage. Whenever they disobeyed the Lord, they experienced the curses( see 2kg 17:23 and 25;11) if we also choose to disobey God, we must be prepared to reap the consequences. The bad news is that every man or woman is under these curses, for all have sinned and come shot of the glory of God. But thank God for providing a means of escape for us. By exchanging our rotten life with His Sons perfect life, we can be free from the curse of the law. the Israelites had a choice; obedience and blessings or disobedience and curses. In like manner we must choose to enter into the way of salvation that He has prepared for us. He will not force anyone. Prayer Lord forgive us for the times we have failed to follow your commands carefully.
