Deuteronomy 1:26 Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God: 27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land ............. How do we relate with these in this dispensation of Grace? Do we respond to the call of the Lord? The Lords call is always to go up, but we may yet resist for lack of understanding due to the inclination of our heart that we are up already! Disobedience is rebellion, ignorance is a part way to death...... The life of some us modern day Christians is characterised by murmuring why? We cannot see the larger picture with God, because most times the Lord starts us with a little beginning and we may yet despise it,evaluating sensually our present circumstances, rather than through the eyes of faith following the Lord step by step. We murmur and this says to the Lord you are unable! Your tents may yet represent your secret place "your heart" but He is the Lord he yet sees our heart, The Lord and His word are one Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Let us judge Him faithful, even in the valley of the shadow of death , why? Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. We must know that He is with us and must come to terms with the place of His rod and His staff in our lives!
