Deuteronomy 3:21-22 I also commanded Joshua at the same time, - TopicsExpress

Deuteronomy 3:21-22 I also commanded Joshua at the same time, “You have seen everything the Lord your God did to these two kings; he will do the same to all the kingdoms where you are going. Do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God will personally fight for you.” The two kings referenced in this verse are Sihon, King of Heshbon and Og, King of Bashan. On Israel’s road to the Promised Land, God delivers entire kingdoms and armies into the hand of Moses, Joshua, and the Israelites. We see this many times in the Old Testament; God directing and influencing entire kingdoms with favor – or disfavor. Obedience again arises as a central theme of God’s favor. Here Joshua has nothing to fear, because God promises to fight for him. Seek the Lord and obey His Word. He is able and does fight for us as we live in His will and by His Word.
