(Deutsch unten) We are dying - when are we going to get reparations? This is the question Khulumani Western Cape members asked in the Community House in Salt River in Cape Town today. 16 years after the presentation of the TRC report, the victims of state violence under the Apartheid regime still go without financial reparations. They feel that insult is being added to injury. But although almost all members are now (much) beyond 60, they continue their long struggle. e-tv was at the meeting, so watch out for the news tonight. Während wir sterben warten wir noch immer auf Entschädigung, klagen die Mitglieder von Khulumani. 16 Jahre nach Abschluss der Wahrheits- und Versöhnungskommission (TRC) warten Sie auf eine Entschädigung für das Leid und lebe zum Teil in bitterer Armut in Kapstadts Townships. Am liebsten würde man die Opfer der Apartheid hier einfach vergessen, doch das lassen die Mitglieder von Khulumani trotzt ihres Alters nicht zu. Am Treffen heute waren Vertreterinnen aus mehr als 10 Townships rund um Kapstadt.
