Devon the Dog’s Adventure is a beautifully illustrated children’s soft cover picture book written, illustrated and published by Pukete-raised, twenty-one year old Jonathan Short. Jonathan moved into the Pukete area with his parents at the age of two and has spent his childhood and teenage years here. He recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design at the University of Waikato. He dreams of becoming an illustrator and has started by making his own children’s books with a focus on the early childhood age group, creating books that are fun and educational. He has drawn cartoons for as long as he can remember and his first book Devon the Dog’s Adventure is inspired by a Labrador he had when he was growing up. This book is about Devon the Dog who can’t remember where his home is and he goes on an adventure trying to find where he belongs, learning about other animals along the way. This is the first book in the series and Jonathan is currently working on the second book about Devon’s Adventure on the Farm. Devon the Dog’s Adventure is also available as an e-book on amazon.
