Devotional Fill Up the Pitcher Hey ya! Christmas is getter near (closer)! This week, I read several articles, stories, devotionals and our brother and sister in Christ’s brief of their struggles, weakness, and humility servant and ongoing with their lives. I am humbling to share with you, our brother and sister in Christ what it takes to fill up the pitcher. Pitcher: A large container. Defined in the dictionary Bottle: Synonym word for pitcher. What takes to fill up a bottle? What takes to fill up a pitcher? What takes to fill up God’s Words in a person’s mind? Have you ever wonder why you are struggling with the same person’s mind? For instance, I am being distracted with this busyness Christmas shopping. My bottle is running (out) low and I don’t have an enough water to fill it up. It is the distraction that it takes away my focuses on God’s Word and the way I am struggling is because I am not being encouraged by a person who is imperfect that can fill up the pitcher by giving me God’s Word during the distractions. God sent Jesus to this world and Jesus is born in a womb (mother of Mary) through our messy (distraction) world. Jesus walked through this messy world to save us because we are imperfect people who need Jesus’s love, Word, and guidance. And all these things are the same idea (concept) of filling up a person’s pitcher and to overflow with their goodness through this messy world. John 3:16 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Ephesians 4:29 Corrupt: Evil, taking bribes, to make and to become. Defined in the dictionary ‘Let no evil talks but what is not evil (corrupt) talks.’ Edify: Instruct and improve morally. Defined in the dictionary Let me say it again; ‘Let no evil talks but what is not evil (corrupt) talks to the instruction (edif-tion), which brings peace to the person.’ Therefore, there are no evil talks to fill up a pitcher. “We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.” I Thessalonians 5:14 Admonish: Warn and advise. Defined in the dictionary ‘We place (plead with) you, advise the weak, encourage the weakness, help the weak, be patient with everyone.’ Being an adviser to the person is who need the pitcher to be fills up. It is why, it is vital to put our hope and focus on God, Jesus Christ, the Saviour of our and we may be filled up with His love through the crowd of messy world! Read Colossians 3:23-24 on your own spare time. My prayer:
