Provide key support to the Supply Director in execution of transformational change. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Experience 7-10 years relevant experience in a Finance Department within a large FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods). Qualifications Educated to degree standard Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or moving through the stages of professional examinationsSkills/Knowledge Experience of working closely with both in market and cross-functional teams within Supply and ideally Africa. Has working knowledge of basic accounting and analytical tools and techniques and understands accounting policies and standards Networking and communication skills. Analytical ability to understand balance between risk & reward so as to enable management to pull appropriate levers to enhance GP. Constantly seeking to improve business processes and drive efficiency. Understanding of Performance Management Financial & Management Reporting.ACCOUNTABILITIES As Supply Finance Manager, you should be able to: Ensure that a world class BPM and strategic planning process is operating in supply. Supporting the business in lowering its costs of goods versus plan Provide commercial and analytical support to all key decisions in supply; support key business projects from inception through delivery – providing both financial and general business ideas, advice, support and controls. Supporting the business in delivering its cash targets ie unlocking opportunities around capex, inventory and creditors management (Overseeing the Implementation of 60 days PTT). Being the active finance link in procurement to support procurement projects as well as the procurement BPM process. Grow the financial capabilities of the supply finance team as well as that of the SLT. Ensure CARM standards are compiled within a sustainable way. Develop strong networks in Africa and Diageo globally to research and share best practice & learning’s to create the finance talent in GCSA. CAPABILITIES You will need to have: Responsibility for 2 direct reports and strong functional influence locally and across Africa. Demonstrating leadership capabilities by being an effective business partner to a wider range of important stakeholders (FD, SD and Supply community) as well as a true leader to the two analysts in the team. Member of FLT and SLT in market and key role in Africa supply finance leadership team. Ability to build the financial management and reporting capability of the supply finance team across Africa.
