Dialogue with Paulo Coelho Panagiotis Regoukos Paulo Coelho says: 1. Anyone who loves in the expectation of being loved in return is wasting their time. Dialogue says: When there is expectation, there is no love at all, because then there is “love under conditions”. 2. I carry many signs, but also moments that never would have happened if I had not ventured beyond my limits. The issue in life is not to go “beyond our limits”, but to have no limits in offering to the society. 3. You are what you believe yourself to be. What we are is a synthesis of our perceptions we have about us, about the world and about the relation between us and the world. Our beliefs are included in our perceptions. 4. Only by accepting our desires can we have an idea of who we are. Our desires are the surface of our needs. We must not accept them before we check if they are aligned with our social interest. We “are” not our desires. We “have” desires just for the instant pleasure we have been thought to chase. 5. Suffering comes mostly from desire, and not only from pain. True. This is a contraindication with the previous quote of P.C. We are not a being programmed to suffer. 6. When God closes a door, he opens a window. If God does it, it is not fair. Window is less than a door. This means, that God takes something more to give us something less. Is a “good” God then or a “bad” God? I think God could not be “bad”. Paulo Coelho thinks that God Is “bad”? We are waiting for his answer. Dialogue with Paulo Coelho Panagiotis Regoukos “Beyond the Alchemist” “Beyond any Manuscript”.
