Diana Daniels: I was born in Long Beach and grew up in Belmont Shore. My parents met in 1957 on 2nd St. thru a friends Gordon and Molly Warwick who ran the ice cream counter then at the Egyptian pharmacy. My Mom then Bonnie Kelly/McDuffie worked at A&P for years on 2nd St. and my Dad was a bartender in Belmont Shore..Ken McDuffie. I went to Lowell Elementary, Rogers Jr. High and Wilson High School. Sadly when I was 16 yrs old we had to move to Cypress in Orange Co. Such great times in Belmont Shore in those years and I miss it very much. Still go to visit from time to time. My Mom and Dad have passed on...when I go there I think of them and the times we had in the Shore in the 50s, 60s and 70s. I still looks as beautiful as it did back then.
