Diaphragm breathing Quick Tips (Part II): It is important to control the air as you let it out. To control the air, try this method: 1) Start to breathe slowly (in 4 counts) through your nose 2) Feel that your stomach (and not your chest!) expands 3) And slowly exhale through your mouth (in 8 or 10 counts) Using the same method, this time add sounds as you breathe out (lets use the sound Ha for this exercise) 1) Start to breathe slowly (in 4 counts) through your nose 2) Feel that your stomach (and not your chest!) expands 3) And slowly exhale through your mouth by saying Ha!(in 8 or 10 continous counts or as many that you can in that same breathe) You should feel the vibrations/ jerkings of your stomach as each time you say Ha!... If you do, thats good! Thats where the air is pushed out.... if you dont feel it, try again until you feel it. Try this exercise as many times until you feel comfortable with this breathing out with sound technique.... (to be continued ...)
