Diary for 23 January 2015 by HG Syama Madhusudana Dasa Today, Guru Maharaj had taken his lunch prasad early, and was finished by the time I reached. In the morning, Guru Maharaj had finished translating and writing the pastime of Jagannath Misra leaving his body. Guru Maharaj was answering many letters to various devotees. Then he took rest and upon waking up, Guru Maharaj met with Yudhisthira Pr. Guru Maharaj told the pastime of Jagannath Misra leaving his body again. Then Guru Maharaj expressed how Krsna book is very sweet but that when he reads Caitanya Lila, he just melts. Guru Maharaj explained how a few aspects of Jagannath Misras disappearance are mentioned in various biographies like Caitanya Caritamrta, Caitanya Bhagavat, Caitanya Mangal. So Guru Maharaj is compiling all the pastimes of Mahaprabhu from about six or seven biographies of Lord Caitanya. Then, Guru Maharaj took his fruits, vegetable juice and milk and did his walking exercise as he came to the hall for class. Guru Maharaj spoke on obtaining the land in Calcutta for our center and the various obstacles that he faced. Guru Maharaj spoke on Prabhupada registering ISKCON in Calcutta but how it got registered in Bombay. Guru Maharaj also spoke about a preaching program that Srila Prabhupada did in Gorakhpur. Srila Prabhupada had spoken about how Sanatana Gosvami met Lord Caitanya and how Mahaprabhu told Candrasekhara Acarya to check for a devotee who was outside. After looking outside, Candrasekhara Acarya told Mahaprabhu that there was just a Mohammedan fakir and Lord Caitanya told that that is the person he wanted to see and they embraced! Then Guru Maharaj addressed about 200 to 300 devotees in Bangalore over skype. After class, Guru Maharaj distributed sweets, and spoke with some devotees who came. Jaya Gurudeva!
