Diary of a nomadic black woman She is on her way out again...this time she is headed for Eastern Cape. I have been accepted for full time MA in Creative Writing at Rhodes. For me, this is an excuse to be tied down to one place long enough to read and write. I am too much of a nomad and I need an excuse to be in one place long enough. I am also doing this for my son. He is gifted musician and ever since we returned from Mpumalanga, he has not touched a single music instrument. There is a school in Grahamstown which has a solid music department. For the first time this year, I found him playing his guitar last week, he is obviously looking forward to new beginnings. My chirren are used to this. As my daughter once said: Mama, you can leave us in Alaska, we will survive. I am not sure how long I am going to stay there, I do not plan these things. As for Afrika Ikalafe Circle of Healing, I will come to Gauteng every three or four months and run intensive weekend retreats. Thank you Soshanguve and Afro-zwanaka Book Cafe for providing me with a temporary home.
