Dick Dont Get It #7 - Nicki Minaj - my son likes Nicki, we have joked about some of her lyrics and appearance and overall personna. Jordan sends me a link to this music video and Im just not sure what to make of it. I could offer my commentary on social norms and impact on society but you would be getting a diatribe by a guy that purchased a Paul Simon album containing the song Kodachrome in 1973 that the radio stations had to edit out the word crap as it was too risqué for the airwaves. As a classically trained pianist its simply beyond me how 1; this is considered music, 2; why its so popular, 3; why Nicki is so amazingly famous (I get that she has the Kardashian booty going for her) and 4; is it a good thing that our world is now populated by wildly famous and fabulously wealthy individuals feeding off of the publics curious consumption of this rather banal blather.
