Dickie Dickie Dickie. What a week for birthdays! If there was one word to describe our friendship it would be growth. Ive watched you change from a board-short wearing bro in Oceanside to a creative artist just scratching the surface of your talent. You and a few others have really made it possible for me to understand what a true relationship with someone is.. what actual support is, and I am forever grateful. There was a brief time years ago where I wasnt sure if you and would be in each others lives in such a capacity and it was such an awful thought to wrestle with. You and I are for sure soul twins or something similar because I dont know anyone that Ive ridden the same feelings about life and the pursuit of what we deem to be important with in such an exact way. Most importantly, you get my sense of humor down to every last idiotic joke, face or dance move. My only regret writing this is that I cant really share any of our jokes on here for fear of destroying some peoples delicate sensibilities. On a somewhat terrifying note, you also know all of my secrets. I believe Ive told you EVERYTHING, which is why were still friends. You know too much, so I must be veerrrrrryyyyyy nice to you forever and ever. Hahaha, having you in Los Angeles has been a dream of mine for a long time, and Im relieved and not so surprised that youve managed to adjust and fit into something that I truly believe has been waiting for you. Were both on the brink of something substantial, and I look forward to having this adventure together as friends. There is so much to look forward to!! Thats what I think is so special about our friendship is that we both know that what comes next will never be an obstacle but a celebration of everything weve worked toward. And we have struggled, buddeh. Never have I been more poor and discombobulated as when we met, and I feel like you were able to dig me out of a lot of bad places I put myself in, mentally and otherwise. As childish, trapper-keeper lame as it may sound, I know in my heart that well be friends until were both a couple of bitter old men cat-calling and going through the list of remember-whens.
