Did 315, as I always do now, at least everyday, especially on days I dont do deadlift, and it went easy, so I considered a confidence set. Was going to do 2 reps, but wasnt really feeling it, and Im not being too risky. I weighed the benefits of squat vs deadlift, it is this. They are about even. The carryover from squat to deadlift helps, it doesnt work the other way, but the deadlift has more functional strength. In other words, out in the world, youre more likely to do a deadlift type of motion, than a squat one. This is the most Ive done since weighing 200+ lbs, somewhere in early/middle of 2012. It was once my bench max. At the time of maxing I could do 315 (the 3 45s on each side, 3 times, (odd gap between rep and max strength)), but later, was able to do 315 8 times without too much struggle, but never maxed out. I think I might have broke the 400 lb mark. I was of course, a couple inches shorter, and about 240 lbs. And was a midget version, of a gentle giant, for the most part. WAS. I was actually pretty insecure, and vunerable at the time, even emo-ish. So much, that I had a few ladies interested, whom I rejected, because basically I didnt believe them. I thought, that they shouldnt like someone so fat and whatever else I thought I was. Throwback Thursday. haha
