Did I ever tell you about my foster Sweetie? A rescue entered a shelter in GA to pull an AB, she came across a wreck of a Boxer girl. Jodi phoned and asked if I would take her info Boxer rescue. She was a mess, she was a high HW POS and had a good number of tumors. She was with me almost a year through all the treatments and Sxs.. Sweetie ( aka Scrappy) Made me laugh all the time. I could tell you 10 ,one of a kind Sweetie stories. The one that comes to mind the most when she brought a critter into my home at 1:30 in the morning. I had let the dogs out to potty for the last time. I see Sweetie ( out of the corner of my eye) walking through the yard with what looked like a stuffed animal. I then notice this thing she is carrying had weight to it. She is swinging the thing back and fourth ( like a pendulum) she was using her mouth as a pivot. She weighed all about 40 pounds and had to get some momentum going to carry it. lol lol I then think, OMG she got a feral cat. OMG OMG Nope, she came running up the stairs and drops the thing on my living room floor! IT WAS A POSSUM! I AM NOW IN A FRENZY, SCRAMBLING TO GET THE OTHER DOGS PUT AWAY. I throw Lou and Sadie in a crate together, I throw Maddie in the bathroom , Sully in the bedroom and Sweetie in her crate. All I needed was to have these 5 dogs going after this critter. So, I have all the dogs secured and Im like OMG, how am I going to get this dead animal out of my house. I go outside to get a cardboard box. I come back in to scoop up the dead animal ITS FRIGGING GONE! IT WAS PLAYING POSSUM! THE LITTLE SCARED THING IS NOW BEHIND MY COUCH HISSING N SPITTING AT ME. I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY GET THE CRITTER OUT... BUT WHAT A NIGHT THAT WAS! I still miss that girl and think about her often. Sweetie was one of a kind. Lou, Sadie and Sweetie on the couch
