Did I hear someone refer to all Yakurr politicians, including the illiterate councillors, as Political Elites? This is a fallacy of equivocation. Does it mean if Dr Okoi Arikpo was alive, his primary constituency, Ikpakapit, couldnt have boasted of better representatives outside the recycling of illiterates, dropouts and stooges who are imposed on the people as councillors? Its very sad that Yakurr has chosen to replace its top 1 percent with its bottom 1 percent. 98 percent is such a big gap to cripple our progress in the next 50 years. If we continue in this political trajectory dictated by corrupt men, we will continue to be ruled by illiterates. We must wake up and do something about it.
