Did Jesus sneak out of heaven against the will of God and rescue humanity? There is this idea that Jesus has one attitude toward humanity and God has another. It is like Jesus is holding back an angry God. Somehow we have had this picture painted to us that if it wasnt for Jesus, God in all His fury would wipe out all of humanity because of how sinful we are. (Which is a crazy belief because God demonstrated how GOOD His wrath is when He poured it out on sin (not people) at the cross, but that is another subject for a different time.) But we dont see this in the nature of Jesus. We see Jesus not reject the world but embrace it! He embraced people long before they were right with God. It was their acceptance of His embrace that brought their reconciliation. It wasnt about them getting right but receiving their acceptance! Lets just put all the speculation of Jesus holding back an angry God with this scripture, which in just one of many but is just the one I ran across today. John 8:42 Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me for I proceeded forth from and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me. Jesus didnt sneak out of heaven without Gods permission, God sent Him! Jesus is the perfect example of the nature of God, why? CAUSE HE IS GOD! #TRINITY #GLORY
