With a strong pound the Banks & City Markets continue to prosper. With a strong pound Britain can import goods cheaply. So Britain is reliant on the rest of the world to provide our cheap food. Home our producers are penalised twice. We compete against cheap goods produced under lower welfare standards and our exports suffer under high exchange rate. The UK economy is unbalanced and works against its workforce in all industries except the Financial Services Industry.
