Did You Know? The idea for Edward Scissorhands (1990) was inspired by a drawing Tim Burton had done when he was a teenager. Edward Scissorhands hair is based on Robert Smith of The Cures hair. In fact, Tim Burton had asked Robert Smith from The Cure to do the soundtrack and had even sent the script. Smith was busy recording Disintegration at the time, and didnt know who Burton was, so passed on the opportunity, handing Danny Elfman the job to score. -AQ
