Did You Know This? There may be no Election in Nigeria next year. I just read that in the constitution that if a part of the country is at war, The President can write the Senate for an extension of office for another year until the war is over. Section 135 (3) states: If the Federation is at war in which the territory of Nigeria is physically involved and the President considers that it is not practicable to hold elections, the National Assembly may by resolution extend the period of four years mentioned in subsection (2) of this section from time to time; but no such extension shall exceed a period of six months at any one time. Some of us are ignorant of this and believes it is not possible for a President to extend his stay in office beyond the stipulated 4 years. We are currently battling with the terrorist Boko Haram in about 5 states in the North, Dont be surprised if there is no election in Nigeria Next year. Our Constitution supports it. My stake; Pls is this not plan of Jonathan to extend his tenure? Have u heard that Boko Haram have established sharia in Mubi town in Adamawa state? And have even amputated 10 people! Coincidentally Mubi its a town of our chief of Army, can we now say our Army who fought to help somali, sieraleone,Liberia, etc are now lazy to fight Boko haram? Pls can someone answer me this question? When we claimed Boko Haram its a Northern agenda; Pls is it Possible for Northern to Bomb themselves? If its truly a Northern agenda dont u think they would hv extend it to southern Nigeria since? Pls is Jonathan capable @ all to rule this Nation? Politics apart No Nation will help us fight Boko Haram unless we wake up from our slumber and tell Mr President to act like a man and not like a boy! And if he knows the real sponsorer or he is among he sld pls fear God and remember the law of Karma! Am feeling sad cos my people in Borno,Adamawa,Bauchi,Gombe etc are suffering everyday! May God rescue Nigeria before our politicians collapse Nigeria......amen!
